This fan is born from a collaboration between Japan's proud traditional industries: Kaga Yuzen dyeing, Kyoto sensu (fans), and Johana silk weaving. The craftsmanship of each region's representative traditional industries has been meticulously shaped into this sensu.
The Johana silk weaving offers a unique crispness and the refreshing feel of silk, inspired by nature.
This is complemented by the beautiful dyeing techniques of Kaga Yuzen artist Kunichika Tsurumi, all carefully finished by a long-established Kyoto sensu manufacturer.
The fan's ribs are made from domestic bamboo, and each one is meticulously finished by hand by artisans, making this a truly exceptional piece.
Furthermore, due to the careful hand-dyeing process, no two fans are exactly alike.
