Autumn and winter are perhaps everyone's favorite seasons (at least, they're my favorite XD). You can wear jackets, hats, and scarves. Scarves are definitely my favorite autumn/winter accessory. Even though I already have many in my wardrobe, I always buy more each year! Since falling into the vintage rabbit hole, besides bags and small accessories, I also keep an eye out for scarves. This is because vintage styles tend to be more timeless, and the prices are invariably more affordable than modern pieces... Unfortunately, finding a vintage scarf in good condition and at a good price is definitely harder than finding a bag! After all, they are textiles, which are more difficult to maintain in pristine condition than leather. Therefore, I can only acquire a few vintage scarves each year... So, if you're looking for a vintage scarf, seize the opportunity when you see one, as it's highly unlikely you'll find the same style or color again. ⚐⚑˒˒ This is an Italian-made pure wool shawl scarf. It's lightweight yet the wool quality is excellent. I really love this one; it's incredibly soft and comfortable! Made in Italy, and it's reversible too! Black x deep navy, usable on both sides. The cool tones are suitable for anyone, regardless of gender! The color of this scarf is quite difficult to capture. In reality, it's a very, very deep blue – not bright or flashy. So, the entire scarf appears to have a subtle pattern, like a hidden motif. A discreet Triomphe motif, very understated. This is why I like it so much; it looks incredibly stylish with all-black or minimalist outfits! The entire scarf features a full-coverage large Triomphe pattern. It's a pre-owned item but in excellent condition, with no particularly noticeable flaws, only a slight sense of use. There are no obvious snags, loose threads, or discoloration issues, nor any pilling. It retains its original Celine tag. As everyone knows, regular brand scarves are not inexpensive, and finding one with a large pattern and such a deep color is rare. It's perfect for couples to share! Most pre-owned items from the past were handmade; there was no machinery then, only the warmth of craftsmanship. The artisan skills of major brands are many times more meticulous than machines. Every step was exquisitely crafted! However, today, most processes are done by machine and then assembled by hand. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. The most direct way to see this is to compare the genuine monograms of vintage pieces with the "revived" monogram patterns of recent years from various brands. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is entirely different. If you love monograms, you must seek out pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, pieces from older eras are more simple, timeless, and enduring. Many current new designs are actually reproductions of older styles. Yet, new models are priced higher than vintage ones. Furthermore, new designs are typically based on older styles with added elements or modifications. Ultimately, the designs become more complex than those of the past. I believe as you grow older, you'll understand one thing: simplicity endures! The quality of raw materials in older pieces is also superior to newer ones. If you understand leather, you'll see it. Most new materials are inferior to those used in older pieces. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high and supplies are scarce today. Additionally, many brands had very high standards for their finished products back then. The difference between new and old is most easily seen in the hardware. The hardware on many new items oxidizes and discolors after just a year or two of use. However, vintage pieces typically do not. Besides the high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship, the hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real K gold! Therefore, even bags produced in the 60s and 70s still have sparkling hardware today! Among the new items available now, to my knowledge, none of the brands use K gold for their hardware. Many people say that vintage bags are a form of alternative investment. They rarely depreciate and usually appreciate in value. This is because the number of pre-owned bags in good condition on the market is decreasing, and each one that disappears makes them rarer. Consequently, they become more expensive. Furthermore, certain brands periodically increase their prices, and each increase drives up the market price for pre-owned items. Added to this, in recent years, Japanese and Korean celebrities have favored vintage items. Once a particular style is seen on a celebrity, its price skyrockets. Or, if a brand releases its own modified reproduction, the price of that style, or even similar styles, will surge! So, vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy early; buy late, pay more" (this isn't an advertising slogan... it's a truth in the vintage world...). This is based on personal experience; I regret not entering the vintage world sooner for many collections. I can't find them now, and even if I could, the price is astronomical, making them unaffordable... For pre-owned bag orders, an extra leather care oil will be included (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I use it myself, so I'll provide a small portion in a container as a gift. Apply a small amount to genuine leather for cleaning and to add moisture. You don't need to apply it after every use; just periodically. I usually give my bags a little care when I'm organizing my closet at the change of seasons (which makes seasonal changes quite an undertaking... |||). The leather of pre-owned bags is inherently excellent. As long as they are not used roughly and are stored properly, they can easily last another ten years and be passed down to your daughter!
