"Leisure by the Lotus Pond," created by Dai Wu-guang (1943-2020) in 1992, depicts lotus flowers, leaves, and ducks by the water's edge. The vast array of lotus leaves, varying in height and form, displays a multitude of postures, some vibrant green, others withered. Gentle colors are applied to the lotus leaves, flowers, water surface, and bank, creating a pleasing contrast between the cool tones of the indigo and the warm ochre of the bank, resulting in an elegant and refreshing ambiance.
