"Lotus Pond Rest" was painted by Dai Wuguang (1943~2020) in 1992. It depicts the flowers and leaves of a lotus pond and a group of ducks on the water bank. The lotus leaves are scattered high and low, some are green and some are withered, leaning back and showing various postures. The lotus leaves, lotus flowers, water surface and slopes are dyed with light colors. The cool tones of cyan and the ocher tones of the slopes form a contrast between warm and cold colors, which is elegant and pleasant.
