KODAK STAR 175 POINT-AND-SHOOT 35mm FILM CAMERA with BUILT-IN FLASH ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) KODAK point & shoot cameras were very popular in Russia and World in 1990s. Those camera was introduced in when first mini-labs and good color negative films were imported. Stores at those mini-labs offered most simple compact cameras. ITEM'S CONDITION: WELL-USABLE Camera in good working condition. Camera was used before and shows general wear. AA Battery housing & film housing clean. No obstructions through view finder. Film advance and shutter release working and smooth. I tested the camera with loading film (without taking pictures, just for test), winding, rewinding, shutter, flash - all works properly. The lens shows some cleaning marks but looks enough clean for taking photos. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Frame size 24x36mm. * Central shutter provide only speed around 1/100. * The flash unit is built-in, it has around 10 guide number for 100 ASA, it provides taking pictures in 1-3m limits. Flash fires every time with any shutter release. * Power source: two AA size batteries, required for flash only. * Lens: simple wide angle. * Aperture looks around f/8, it provides acceptable sharpness for fix-focus lens. * Film speeds: 100-200 ASA are recommended. * Light metering is absent, no any aperture and shutter speed adjustment. It is enough for modern negative films at day light conditions. * Focusing is fixed. * Film winding is manual, moving film cock the shutter. * Film rewinding is also manual, with special key and with the crank. * The camera was made at China in 1990s.
