**/ What is Macrame /**
Macrame is an art form that uses only hands to freely weave cords into beautiful patterns, without the need for tools like crochet hooks, knitting needles, or looms.
Macrame originated in the 13th century from the Arabic word "migramah," meaning "woven." Back then, it referred to decorative textiles worn by camels and horses, which were not only aesthetically pleasing but also kept bothersome insects away. The Moors later introduced Macrame to France, and it then spread throughout Europe. It was introduced to Britain in the late 17th century and became extremely popular during the Victorian era, often used for home decor.
