This is a single earring featuring blue-green iridescent Roman glass, abundant stone beads, an ethnic bell, and a Figaro chain. Roman glass dates back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE – 395 CE). These pieces are fragments of ancient vessels, polished and drilled. Iridescence occurs when glass is buried underground for extended periods, causing a chemical reaction between the glass and soil components, resulting in this sparkling luminescence. Not all glass buried for a long time develops iridescence; it only appears when specific conditions align. Enjoy the beautiful shimmer, which shifts between green and pink hues depending on the angle of light! Some iridescence is also visible on the sides and back. The presence of some patina (adherences) adds to its wonderfully decadent atmosphere! *A slight chip on the lower part allows you to appreciate the glass's original translucence. (Roman glass size: 2.8cm length, 1.1cm width) The small stone beads are garnet, amethyst, and kyanite. The kyanite is sandwiched between 18k gold-plated Karen silver. We've paired it with rough-shaped, raw Herkimer diamonds. The small, antique-colored bell is a component from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan, originally part of adornments, and is also an old piece. The bell does not ring. Three strands of delicately crafted Figaro chain are included.
