The rare linen knitting technique used here was developed over years of research by Kenland Inc., a company in Yamagata Prefecture with a long history of manufacturing knit products for collection brands, primarily using wool. While linen weaving is common, as seen in our previous Pint! collections, linen knits are exceptionally rare. This is a long-sleeved pullover made from 100% linen knit. Unlike the crisp, loosely woven linen, this knit offers a new sensation of lightness and softness that gently envelops the body. It’s crafted from fine-gauge yarn for a comforting feel. The double-layered construction ensures opacity and a cozy fit. European linen is meticulously knitted one piece at a time in Yamagata, taking great care. By using single-ply yarn, which is not twisted, the inherent characteristics of the linen fiber are highlighted, demonstrating a dedication to material quality from the yarn to the finished knit. The expertise honed from producing knitwear for high-fashion collection brands is evident in the exceptional craftsmanship. The double-layered design provides opacity while gently conforming to the body. Linen often evokes an image of stiffness, typically associated with woven fabrics. However, the knit structure inherently allows for stretch and flexibility. With each wear, the garment gradually molds to your body's shape. As with any knit, it may slightly stretch during the day, but washing it will cause it to contract and regain its form. This process allows the garment to adapt to your unique physique, with areas subject to stress like shoulders and elbows becoming more relaxed, while other areas remain snug. The garment is machine washable, and with continued wear and washing, it will perfectly fit your body. (Washing instructions are provided at the bottom; simply use a laundry net.)
