When he was young, he fell from an opera tree and injured his ear and lost his hearing. However, the turning point in his life pushed him to a more subtle art world. The late Palace Museum researcher Chu Ge called him a "national treasure" in art, and former Kaohsiung Museum of Art director Li Junxian and art critic Lu Rongzhi agreed that he was like a "art history". When he was young, he encountered wars and changes. He took the name of "Ershi" and used realistic woodcut prints to resist riots and criticism. After the restoration of Taiwan, he established the "Modern Printmaking Association", "May Painting Association" and "Modern Eyes" with art and literary friends to serve Taiwan. The development of modern art has opened up a new path. In 1957, he began to create prints with sugarcane board, which was abundant at that time, and brought the characteristics of sugarcane board to the extreme. In 1970, his print work "Sting" won the first prize at the first "Korea International Print Biennale".
