A distinct characteristic of Papuan agarwood is its clear oil lines and deep, dark, almost black color, which results in visually appealing finished products. The yield of agarwood that sinks in water is also relatively high, making it perfect for enthusiasts who prioritize appearance. Although other types of agarwood are found on the same island, Papuan agarwood is priced slightly higher and considered of slightly better quality than Ilian agarwood. About Papua: Papua Province (Indonesian: Provinsi Papua) is located in Western New Guinea and is Indonesia's easternmost province.
