‧ The brass and silver beads may oxidize and darken over time due to sweat, air, and moisture. This can be addressed by gently brushing with toothpaste, using a silver polishing cloth, or a brass cleaner. For extended periods of non-wear, storing in a sealed zip-lock bag can help slow the oxidation process.
‧ The waxed cord is water-resistant. If the cord becomes dirty, it can be cleaned with clean water or a mild detergent. Gently pat dry or allow to air dry. (Please avoid wearing while bathing in hot springs or swimming.)
‧ The ends of the waxed cord are sealed with a light flame to fuse the wax, which is a normal part of the weaving process. This may result in a slight darkening at the edges of the cord.
