This handwoven blouse features an impressive ikat pattern.
It's a pullover style with a V-neck on both the front and back.
The Karen ethnic women living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, used plant-based dyes and handwoven the fabric.
Currently, the ikat dyeing technique, even more so than weaving, is at risk of disappearing, making this a very precious handmade craft.
This garment has a relaxed fit and is exceptionally comfortable to wear.
It becomes softer with each use, making it even more enjoyable to wear.
Layering with tank tops, long-sleeved shirts, or dresses is also recommended.
This piece, filled with the charm of handmade craftsmanship, makes a perfect gift.
Additionally, this product uses cotton yarn starched with rice.
Typically, the starch will wash out and the fabric will soften after about two washes.
* We will deliver a product that has already been washed once.
* The ikat pattern varies from piece to piece, so the actual product may have a different pattern than the one shown in the image.

[Care instructions for plant-dyed and handwoven products]
Plant-dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight compared to chemical dyes, and their colors will change with use. Please pay attention to the following points when caring for and using them.
Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or moisture. Be mindful of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags. Using dark-colored clothing or bags together may make color transfer less noticeable. Dark colors, in particular, are prone to fading, so we recommend washing them once before wearing.
When washing, we recommend handwashing separately from other clothes. If using a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place the item in a net, and wash on a gentle cycle separately from other clothes. However, machine washing may accelerate fabric damage and color fading. Avoid using a dryer and dry in the shade.
- About starching.
For fabric products, we may use yarn starched with rice. The starch will typically wash out after about two washes.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us!
