I did try organizing small classes during that period, but encountered many issues. For instance, each tin box has a different size, and various components (especially the folded paper bellows) needed to be tailor-made for each tin box, which was extremely time-consuming. Therefore, using tin boxes as a material was not feasible. After creating three different versions of accordions, I finally decided to use wine crate wood and the dimensions of the first mooncake box to create a 10-note D.I.Y Kit! This kit resolves two major challenges: 1/ Keys Friends who followed the previous three versions would have noticed the different designs for the keys and how they are actuated. Making it achievable for everyone to build at home presented an even greater difficulty! Thus, significant time was invested in testing and refining the keys for this D.I.Y Kit – it was a truly arduous process. 2/ Bellows With a standard size established for the soundboxes on both sides, we can now use die-cutting! No more drawing crease lines yourself! Hooray! The handmade accordion has finally reached the stage of offering workshops and D.I.Y Kits. Thank you all for your continued support!
