Qing Qing De Dao X Wei Wei Dao Lai
Rice paddies on the hillside
White mist dissipates in the dawn
Egrets are playing in the water
The sea breeze blows
Carrying the scent of the Pacific
Swaying rice stalks
A golden, abundant sea
The sound of rice
Is the song of the earth

I met Pei Wei when I was living in Taitung. Pei Wei is a natural farmer living on the east coast.
She cultivates pure food without using fertilizer or pesticides, believing that such food brings happiness to people.
Every time I hear her stories about the land, I am deeply moved.
Because of her, I have come to understand more profoundly that humans, whether aware or ignorant, are all inseparable from this land.
I recall one day asking Pei Wei, "What is 'friendliness'?"
Her answer then was: "To me, true friendliness is not just about being friendly to humans. True friendliness is being friendly to humans, friendly to the land, and friendly to everything in the world."
At that moment, I was deeply touched. Because I knew these words were not empty. They had grown from Pei Wei's life, like a seedling planted in spring, grounded and real.

"When I take care of the land, the land takes care of me."
One afternoon, I followed Pei Wei to check the irrigation channels. That day, I walked behind her, watching her move along the green rice field ridges, occasionally crouching down to adjust the soil around the water outlets.
"Checking the irrigation" means farmers must pay attention daily, regulating the balance between water and seedlings. This balance is a law that has existed in the world since the beginning of time.
In our world, this small group of natural farmers allows this law to manifest, without interfering with nature.
Watching Pei Wei check the irrigation, on that day, I simply knew that there were still people in this world who maintained such a beautiful relationship with the land, and I felt a sense of happiness.
Pei Wei said, "When I take care of the land, the land takes care of me."
This reality of laboring on the land allows Pei Wei to feel her own vitality within it. At the same time, it also moves us, who eat her rice, with this truth.
To me, Pei Wei not only takes care of the land but also inspires souls to walk into this goodness.
The world is a little more beautiful because of Pei Wei's existence.

About "Shen Nong's Words"
Pei Wei's words come from her most genuine experiences while laboring on the land.
Each time I hear them, it feels like Mother Earth gently taps my head and pats my shoulder.
Because of this, everyone earnestly began to record the words Pei Wei had spoken, jokingly calling them "Shen Nong's Words."
Although it's a playful nickname, this "Shen Nong" is filled with our highest respect as those who "just use their mouths" and are responsible only for eating.
This collaboration between Qing Qing De Dao and Wei Wei Dao Lai is Qing Qing De Dao's first time printing words not created by the artist themselves.
Because I truly love them so much, I really want to invite everyone to feel the beauty and strength within these words. Of course, it is also to support the authentic life of natural farmers.
This set of works, which I personally love, was born out of the most beautiful intentions. I want to thank each of you who have read this far. Thank you for being willing to listen. No matter what, I believe we all have a kind heart.
May we one day meet in that field of the heart.

"Cherish the beauty encountered in life, because those encounters help us understand ourselves better."

When I finished writing this set of postcards, I noticed the handwriting had become a bit cute. I tried to think why, and I think it's because the source of these words is different from Qing Qing De Dao's own writing, so my state of mind was different while writing them. A different state of mind leads to different handwriting, which was a wonderful experience for me.
While writing this set of words, I once again deeply experienced the profound meaning contained within each phrase, word by word. As I wrote, it felt as if they were being imprinted on my soul, and I was still deeply moved every time.
"We have met on Earth now, so let's exist fully."
I will cherish the beauty encountered in life, because these encounters will help me understand myself better.
I hope that we can both flow with life, live well, take good care of ourselves, and love this land and ourselves with a pure heart.
With deep blessings.
