**:: Peruvian Inca Sacred Wood ::**
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51710708260_7187424715_b.jpg
__Made with genuine 18mm Peruvian sacred wood beads, each retaining its unique natural wood grain.__
__Rich in sacred wood's natural oils, it emits a warm, heart-soothing redwood aroma.__
Sacred wood possesses a serene, stabilizing power. Native to Central and South America, it was a sacred plant of the Inca Empire.
The Spanish name "Palo Santo" literally translates to "holy wood."
It has been revered in sacred spaces and rituals in the West since ancient times,
second only to white sage in its widespread use.
Sacred wood is believed to have transformative and protective properties,
connecting the mind, body, and spirit, and purifying spaces.
**:: Blessing at Xiahai Chenghuang Temple, Taipei ::**
While preparing the "Matchmaker Series" (Sacred Wood Hand Cords), I recalled how after seeking a red thread from the Matchmaker deity during a time of romantic confusion, I found steadfast companionship with my now-husband for 16 years.
This inspired me to arrange a special trip to Taipei with my daughter. I brought my material kit to worship and receive blessings at Taipei's Xiahai Chenghuang Temple.
My daughter, only six at the time, steadily held the DSLR camera to capture the blessing ceremony (the first photo).
Since then, "Mountain Below Has a Garden" has established a tradition: **newly acquired threads must be taken to Taipei's Xiahai Chenghuang Temple for incense blessings.**
**Taipei's Xiahai Chenghuang Temple** is located on Dihua Street. It enshrines not only the Matchmaker deity but also primarily Chenghuang Ye (City God), along with the Eight Generals, Eight Officials, and many other deities.
The main altar primarily houses Guanyin Bodhisattva, along with Bodhidharma, Maudgalyayana, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Maitreya Buddha, the Earth God, and Guan Yu, among others.

**:: Brand Origin ::**
Initially, during my daily Buddhist chanting, I used a mala strung with 108 sacred wood beads, which I also carried with me outdoors. The pervasive sacred wood aroma brought me a sense of peace.
My daughter often played with my mala and loved its scent. One day, I used extra sacred wood beads to weave a bracelet for her. Seeing how she cherished it, even wearing it to school, felt like an extension of my presence. This inspired me to share this fragrant blessing with more people.
**⫯⫰**
There is a garden below the mountain.
In the garden, there is a tree hollow, and within the hollow, there is light.
I hold a mountain within my heart, and for years, I've felt an urgent need to escape everything and return to the mountains.
Below the mountain, a garden bloomed, nurturing me. Years later, a tree hollow grew, and gradually, light emerged.
From then on, I no longer felt such a strong need to return to the mountain; I *am* the mountain, I *am* the tree, I *am* the light.
If you pass by, you are welcome to take a piece, to share a word. We can illuminate each other.
