【National Arts and Crafts Master Wu Qixin】
Wu Qixin, male, born in 1989 in Yixing, is a National Arts and Crafts Master.
Influenced by his parents from a young age, he was immersed in pottery culture and developed a deep interest in Zisha (purple clay) culture.
After graduating from university, he returned to study Zisha professional knowledge. With a solid foundation, he mastered the skills of Zisha pot design and fully handmade pot crafting.
Under the guidance of his mentors Liu Youliang, Wang Jigang, and Senior Arts and Crafts Artist Zhu Zhifen, his works possess a rustic texture and profound charm, deeply embodying the essence of traditional pot artistry.
His handmade pots come in various sizes. Larger ones exude a robust and unadorned aura, while smaller ones fit perfectly in the palm. His craftsmanship ranges from coarse to fine. In the coarser style, the clay particles are fully visible; in the finer style, the texture gleams with subtle luster.
Later, under the guidance of Arts and Crafts Artist Xu Ximing, he explored and learned, making advancements in the realm of floral-themed pieces.
His designed and created works primarily follow traditional styles, presenting an overall aesthetic that is elegant, grand, and highly artistic, ornamental, and practical.
The craftsmanship is meticulous and upright, with natural and smooth lines. Each piece embodies the artist's heart and intention.
His unique style is highly favored and collected by Zisha enthusiasts both domestically and internationally.
【Huanglong Mountain Zhu Ni (Red Robe)】
Selected from the raw Zhu Ni ore, this clay is fine-grained, uniformly particulate, pure in color, and possesses a moderate iron content.
Firing Temperature: 1166°C, Shrinkage Rate: 28%
When Zhu Ni is mentioned, people immediately think of (Xiao Meiyao Zhu Ni, Zhaozhuang Zhu Ni).
However, there is also the Huanglong Mountain Zhu Ni, which is less abundant in ore and has a more pronounced sandy texture.
Its characteristic is that the longer it is used and seasoned, the richer and more apparent the surface texture becomes, akin to the jade-like patina effect of Benshan Green Clay.
The flavor transformation of the tea brewed is distinct from that of Zhu Ni from the other two regions.
【Frequently Asked Questions】
1. How to season the pot before first use?
Rinse thoroughly inside and out. A dish sponge is recommended; avoid chemical agents. Simply rinse with water, and it's ready for use.
2. How to season and maintain the pot?
After use, keep it clean and dry to prevent tea stains. Store in a well-ventilated area after use. For long-term storage in its box, allow it to air dry naturally for 1-2 months to ensure the pores fully release moisture, preventing mold.
3. How to clean tea stains or mold?
Soak with enzyme cleaner.
4. How to warm the pot correctly?
In cold weather, or after a long period of disuse, pour 40°C warm water over the inside and outside of the pot, then fill it completely. This allows the Zisha pores to absorb moisture fully.

For pots with engraved designs, cleaning with a soft brush is recommended.
