1920s-30s French B&F Cementees Extra 588/6 Dip Pen Nib, Fine F - Dip Pens - Other Metals

Product Description

Manufactured 1920s-1930s French Baignol & Farjon Cementees Extra 588/6 Dip Pen Nib, Fine (F) Exquisite craftsmanship with substantial metal material. The groove design enhances ink capacity. The nib offers excellent flexibility, and its thicker metal construction aids in precise control during writing. Writing sample shown used: Paper One 100g copy paper with Staedtler green ink. (A rare vintage item, not a modern reproduction. Available while supplies last.) Important Usage Notes: 1. No need to fire or scrub with a toothbrush before use. If it comes into contact with oil from your hands, simply wash with a neutral detergent (like hand soap). 2. Some nibs may have pre-existing horizontal or vertical marks near the tip; these were factory-applied during production to ensure immediate usability upon purchase and are not defects. 3. If oil contamination affects ink flow or adhesion (e.g., from touching with hands or waxy paper), a simple wash with soap, followed by drying, will restore functionality. 4. Clean and dry the nib promptly after use. Allow it to air dry completely before storing to prevent corrosion. 5. Minor corrosion on the pen body does not affect writing. Corrosion on the nib itself, however, will impact performance. 6. As an item over 50 years old, it may bear subtle signs of age. Slight rust on the tail end of the nib may be present but does not affect writing quality as it is not on the writing tip.
