Began studying jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied Advertising Design in vocational high school in 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. Received an Honorable Mention in the Craft category at the 14th Nan-Ying Art Exhibition in 2000 for his work "Waiting for the Opportunity." Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in August. Invited to the Hualien International Art Festival in 2001 for live carving in the local creation area. Received an Honorable Mention in the "Dream of Craftsmanship" category at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition in 2002. Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January. Participated in a joint jade and stone carving exhibition, "Flowers and Trees Carnival," in Changhua County in May. Invited to participate in the "Stone Garden" exhibition organized by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and Hualien Cultural Affairs Bureau, with exhibitions held in department stores across northern, central, and southern Taiwan from October to December. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Scenery" at the "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition" in the Presidential Office in 2003. Featured in the "Art and Culture Corridor - Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Stone Carving Exhibition" on National Education Radio from March to June 2004. Received an Honorable Mention in the "Dream of Craftsmanship" category at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October 2004 to January 2005. Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice" in 2005. Participated in an exchange with the National Museum of the Czech Republic, exhibiting "The Many Faces of Sherlock Holmes" from June to September. Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened a counter in department stores. Participated in the "Craftsmanship Masters" exhibition at Pacific Sogo Department Store in mid-December. Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship at Your Fingertips - Applied Crafts for Daily Life" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery in 2007. His work "Japanese-Style Nigiri Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute in 2008. In 2012, his work "Half a Thought" received an honorable mention in the Traditional Craft category at the "Taiwan Craft Competition" organized by the Ministry of Culture and the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute. His work "Tranquil Mountain and Water" received an honorable mention in the Craft category at the 21st Tainan City "Nan-Ying Award." Invited to exhibit in the Taiwanese Jade Masters section at the "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Exchange Exhibition" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2013. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit at the Presidential Office Gallery in 2016 as part of the "Gathering Around the Hearth - Sustainable Craft Exhibition," showcasing three works: "Japanese-Style Nigiri Sushi," "Handmade Small Mochi," and "Leaping Moment." His work "Lingering Lotus in Spring" received an honorable mention at the Taoyuan City Taoyuan Art Exhibition in 2017. Held his solo exhibition "Xie Zhong-Ren Jade Carving 30 Years: The Continuation of Culture" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2018. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Presenting Treasures" at the Presidential Office Gallery in the "Feast · Happiness" exhibition from January to June 2019. Participated in the "Joyful Heart, Shining Art - Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held jointly at the Hsinchu County Government Cultural Affairs Bureau from July 29 to August 16, 2020, and at the Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute from October 6, 2020, to February 28, 2021. His work "Japanese-Style Nigiri Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration Green Craft" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute in October-November 2021.
