Features of lin-han-wei White Porcelain Seals:
1. A pioneering fusion of gold detailing and natural gemstone inlay, with some gemstones fired together with the porcelain for a seamless, integrated finish – a first in Taiwan.
2. Leveraging lin-han-wei's experience at the headquarters of FRANZ Collection and its Jingdezhen factory, these white porcelain seals incorporate underglaze colors and gold detailing (fired gold). The gold detailing uses hand-painted Heraeus gold lacquer from Germany (containing 12% pure gold, fired at 800°C), imbuing the seals with richer colors and variations, achieving a modern seal carving aesthetic.
3. Fired at a high temperature of 1230°C, the porcelain seals possess exceptional hardness and wear resistance. Once fired, they are virtually indestructible, making them significantly more durable than stone. The underglaze colors are fired into the porcelain, ensuring they never fade, while the glaze remains jade-like, exquisite, and luminous.
4. The design of the porcelain seals is not limited by traditional seal knob forms. The overall shape is integrated and features diverse modern styles, meticulously crafted and delicate, appealing to a wide range of individuals. They can be customized as personal seals, name seals, company seals, collectible seals, decorative seals, paired seals for couples, wedding seals, graphic seals, and more, making them ideal personalized gifts.
5. Each porcelain seal is handcrafted. The process involves sculpting the clay, refining the body, cleaning, air-drying, seal carving, inlaying, biscuit firing, applying underglaze colors, high-temperature glaze firing, and finally, the gold detailing firing. Each seal undergoes at least 3-4 firing cycles, with each firing requiring a minimum of 10 hours in the kiln, followed by cooling. The entire production process for each seal is complex, time-consuming, and labor-intensive, typically taking about three to four weeks.
6. Due to the integrated nature of the porcelain seal's design, any damage to the carved strokes during the seal carving process necessitates starting the entire piece over. This inherent difficulty and high risk make each porcelain seal exceptionally precious.
