| GROW: A Top That Transforms into an Apron
When you're done wearing it, give it a new life.
Crafted with the belief in cherishing "beautiful things," extending their lifespan.
Imagine the basic comfort of a T-shirt, then envision it with an apron. This inspired my imagination and creation.
The pace of clothing consumption often outstrips our appetite. If we no longer wear an item, can we grant it a second purpose?
| What's with the dramatic back? What's its function?
When clothes are too soiled to clean, we wish to give them a second life.
You can cut the fabric to create cleaning rags, tablecloths, tote bags, and more.
However, from the outset, we designed it to become an apron.
When not in use, the back pocket resembles an artistic motif.
Art Deco & Modernism
GROW's modernist approach embodies authentic emotional expression, empathizing with everyone's true feelings and thoughts.
Based on scientific principles, it emphasizes reason, logic, and experimental validation.
To prevent wear and tear on the knit fabric when adding pockets, the pocket opening is reinforced with a layer of webbing.
Jagged stitching is used for secure fixation, with contrasting bar tacks for added reinforcement.
This parallel functionality of GROW utilizes geometric symbols representing squares and triangles from Art Deco to achieve a perfect proportion.
Creating patterns reminiscent of Art Deco, while simultaneously ensuring functionality, results in a more beautiful and durable pocket.
| Choosing GROW as an Apron
For those who love simplicity, simply pull out the straps from the back.
In the future, when the garment is old and no longer worn, we can utilize it again.
The back pocket becomes the front of the apron.
The originally decorative back pocket is now functionally used as part of the apron.

Fold the garment so it wraps around your waist at the back.
Interlace the ends of the straps through the adjustment rings and cinch the waist.

Turn it 180 degrees, and it becomes a durable, dirt-resistant apron.

| "Long Wear": Lasting Wear, Frequent Use
Embodying the Hakka spirit of cherishing resources, this design contemplates enduring silhouettes that transcend trends, offering a design to be savored repeatedly.
The concept of repurposing to cherish precious resources and designing a garment's second form is precisely what rin considers the "LONG WEAR" spirit.
| Meeting the Essential Needs of a Top!
The front of the T-shirt is simple and clean.
Its slightly wider, shorter cut is suited to East Asian body types, and it's also unisex, designed for both men and women from the start. To achieve this, we've omitted shoulder seams in the pattern.
| A Free-Spirited Lifestyle
The relaxed fit accommodates various body types, while the mid-length, slim cut makes it easy for petite individuals to tuck it in for pairing.
Featuring a three-quarter sleeve cut for a relaxed and comfortable look, it's perfect for spontaneous outings or effortless daily wear, exuding a simple, elegant, and free-spirited lifestyle from the inside out.
| More Engaging, Diverse Combinations
The "waistband" connecting the back to the arm openings can be detached.
The detached "waistband" can be used for everyday pant pairings.
Women can also tie the waistband outside their clothing at the waist, adding layers to their outfit and creating a striking focal point!
| The Neckline Finally Stays Put!
Observing everyday wear, we've noticed that knit T-shirts often feature ribbed knit fabric for the neckline, offering greater elasticity but also leading to deformation with repeated stretching.
If we can't change wearing habits, we can alter traditional design with a "Long-Life Products" mindset.
We construct the neckline with a single piece of fabric that naturally curls after use, giving it a look of being well-worn from the start.
However, the collar won't become loose. We reinforce the joining point with bar tacks to make the neckline sturdier. This counter-intuitive collar design is believed to last longer.
| Good Cotton, Even Better When Torn!
We sought a knit fabric that, like denim, develops character with long-term use, a fabric where even tears look appealing – the perfect material to represent the GROW spirit!
rin carefully selects fine combed cotton yarn, spun into folded yarn. This high-density weave results in a fabric that is thin to the touch, highly resistant to wear, less prone to pilling, and substantial in feel – rin's specially selected fine cotton. Its breathable and warm properties are ideal for Taiwan's climate from September to April.
| Washed for Skin-Friendliness
rin subjects the finished product to a washing process and high-temperature drying to pre-shrink it, all in pursuit of a natural aesthetic.
You can directly experience the authentic texture of the fabric, exuding a natural charm.
It undergoes a second finishing and ironing process before being delivered to you.
You won't have to worry about size discrepancies after washing in the future.
You can machine wash and tumble dry it at high temperatures without concern.
Consider it a thoughtful detail, handled by rin with care.
