The Round-leaf Uruguayan Tortoise is a caudiciform plant. Its round tuber and round leaves are incredibly soothing and lovely. Grown locally, it prefers 3-5 hours of sunlight. Its thin leaves are translucent and emerald green with clear veins, highly aesthetic and healing (photo 9). In high temperatures and heat, water only when the soil on the pot surface is nearly dry. When temperatures are low, move it indoors to avoid cold, which can delay dormancy. After dormancy, reduce sunlight exposure and water once a week.
