Little Island Art Class Hand-Sculpted Ceramic Vase Series Each ceramic cat begins from clay, slowly sculpted, with details carved and polished to a smooth form. It then undergoes a 2-3 day firing process in a kiln, reaching 850 degrees Celsius before cooling. Glazes are then applied layer by layer onto the bisqued ceramic cat. Finally, it is fired a second time to 1230 degrees Celsius. After 3-4 days of cooling, this therapeutic item is ready to find its home. Each ceramic cat is infused with a full measure of tactile feel and warmth. Material: White clay and underglaze colors. Favors a natural aesthetic, without an additional transparent glaze. In support of environmental conservation, some shipping materials may be repurposed boxes or cardboard. This ceramic cat vase is suitable for holding a few favorite small blooms. A charming feature of this vase is that if accidentally knocked over on a desk, due to the approximately 5mm opening, it is unlikely to spill water. As the ceramic cat is hollow, if water needs to be added, a syringe will be required (a syringe will be included for quick refilling).
