The myth of Cupid and Psyche is the story of two people who love each other despite all the hardships their love endures...
Reinterpretation by Founder Benedict: During my research on love and death, I came across this painting of Psyche and Cupid, a recurring theme in my work. Here, I want to emphasize the forbidden and impossible love. Psyche in the picture represents goodness, while Cupid represents evil and temptation. I dyed Love's wings black to emphasize this dangerous concept by comparing him to a fallen angel. Two small secondary elements that I love stand out in this creation: the divine butterfly and the golden eyes overlooking the scene. I absolutely love these two little things, the divine butterfly is tattooed on my chest and the golden eyes will soon find their place on my skin.
