This single earring is made of beautiful silvered Roman glass, generous stone beads, ethnic bells, and Herkimer diamonds.
Roman glass is glass from the Roman Empire period (27 BC - 395 AD).
This is a fragment of a vessel or other object that has been polished and drilled with holes.
Silvering occurs when glass is buried underground for a long period of time, causing a chemical reaction between the components of the glass and the soil, resulting in this type of sparkling shine. Not all glass that has been buried for a long time will silver. This phenomenon only occurs when a number of conditions are met.
This one has all the silver on the sides too!
Depending on the angle of the light, you can enjoy beautiful glows of green, pink, and more!
There is some patina (deposits) in some places, which gives it a decadent feel that is also wonderful!
The glass itself is blue-green in color.
(Size of Roman glass: length 3.3cm, width 1.4cm, thickness 0.25-0.4cm)
The small stone beads are garnet, amethyst, labradorite, quartz and kyanite.
The kyanite is sandwiched between 18k gold plated Karen Silver.
We have combined it with a Herkimer diamond that has a rough shape like a rough stone.
The antique small bells and the bent parts are from the Kuchi people of Afghanistan. They were attached to ornaments and are also old items.
The bells do not ring.
These Roman glass earrings feature beautiful silvering.
