Design Concept
This octagonal plate is inspired by the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic, combining traditional lacquerware craftsmanship with modern minimalist lines. The octagonal shape symbolizes the balance between square and round, as well as the gathering of fortune from all directions, retaining a sense of stability and dignity in its form.
The black surface exudes understated elegance, while the hand-applied gold leaf accents resemble the light and shadow marks left on objects by the passage of time—delicate and full of charm.
Whether displayed on its own or used as a vessel, it brings tranquility and refinement to any space, expressing a lifestyle of understated luxury.
