Characterized by its natural tanning process, each piece of leather possesses a unique hue and grain, ensuring that every strap is truly one-of-a-kind. **Lining Leather** The lining leather used for the strap is also a vegetable-tanned leather named "Buttero," from the same tannery, Conceria Walpier. As this leather is in direct contact with the skin, we exclusively use the natural, undyed "Buttero" for the lining. **Strap Thickness** The strap measures approximately 2.5 mm in thickness. Due to the significantly longer tanning process, limited automation, and the need for highly skilled artisans, vegetable-tanned leather is considerably more expensive and thus not widely adopted. It accounts for only 20% of global leather production, with chrome-tanned leather making up the remaining 80%. Unfortunately, for the inexperienced eye, distinguishing it solely by sight can be challenging. However, your sense of smell can be a reliable guide; vegetable-tanned leather possesses a distinct, rich leather aroma. Synthetic leather or imitations, lacking this characteristic "leather scent," will not have this unique fragrance.
