Beginning in 2012, she developed the "Sound Portrait" series. Her works assemble notes into visual patterns, presented through video installations that resemble discordant musical scores. When the timeline in the video aligns with parts of the depicted figures, complex clusters of notes generate noisy and unpleasant sounds. This creates illogical noise from the rules of musical notation, much like public figures in politics, operating within a seemingly orderly system yet existing within an irrational political landscape. Peggy KUO is also an artist who brings these visual musical scores to concert hall performances.
