Atelier Fauni is a studio renowned for its handcrafted dolls.
Established in Finland in 1952, it later relocated to the United States.
Its most famous creations are the Moomin figures produced between 1955 and 1971.
Due to the meticulous materials used in their production, these pieces are considered works of art, attracting a dedicated global following of collectors.
The studio was named "Fauni" primarily because
its creations consistently revolved around themes of: fluffy, big-eyed, short-limbed...
various gnomes and sprites with different appearances and forms!
(After all, these are creatures of imagination and legend... Moomins are also a type of gnome.)
These two glasses are related merchandise from the Fauni studio.
Next to the trademark, there is a marking of "62" (presumed to indicate the year 1962).
Diameter: 6cm, Height: 13.5cm
