Hand-woven Linen Stole [Saisai*06]
Materials: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Size: Approx. 57cm x 200cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This large stole is hand-woven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, sourced from a Kyoto-based yarn wholesaler. The yarn is dyed in various colors from its raw state before being woven. It is so thinly woven that it appears almost translucent, with no stiffness or roughness, draping softly and lightly against the body.
The design features a random check pattern woven with six colors of linen yarn, subtly enhanced by silk threads interspersed throughout.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in hand-weaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and elegant sheen. With a fine warp density of 840 threads, it offers an exceptionally supple texture. Linen stoles are superior to cotton in absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties, ensuring a smooth, refreshing feel against the skin without stickiness. This makes it suitable for three seasons, from spring through autumn.
*Creases may form during shipping. Gently steaming the stole with an iron will restore its smoothness.
*If you would like gift wrapping, please let us know. It is available free of charge.
