【Impression of the Dynasty - Chen Yongqing Ruyi Palace Lantern】
Dynasty: Late Ming Dynasty / Material: Purple clay / Capacity: 200cc
This teapot is a copy of the work of Chen Yongqing, a famous purple clay artist during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The shape is based on the classic "palace lantern" teapot style. The teapot body is elegant and simple, with an ancient charm. The round bead button and pressure cover are designed to be upright and regular, showing the elegant characteristics of purple clay teapots in the late Ming Dynasty.
Chen Yongqing, whose ancestral home is in Jiangxi, was known as "Chen Sandaizi" at the time. He had a stubborn personality but was extremely creative, and he created a unique style in purple clay craftsmanship.
The Yangxian Teapot Collection once commented: "The styles are exquisite, such as lotus seeds, soup pots, bowls, and round beads. They are irregular but round, which is extremely beautiful."
This pot has both spirit and form, reflecting its two typical styles:
Firstly, the inscription is engraved on the body of the pot in a unique style. Secondly, it is rare to use cursive script on the pot, which is unique and thought-provoking in the Ming Dynasty when most people admired regular script.
The handle of the pot is decorated with a ruyi pattern, which symbolizes good luck and lasting good fortune, and is also the finishing touch to the charm of the whole pot.
The pot has well-proportioned shape, smooth lines and a soft feel. It has both the creative tension of Chen Yongqing and a solemn, simple and elegant temperament. It is a masterpiece of ancient imitation that is worth both appreciation and collection.
【Frequently Asked Questions】
1. How to open the kettle before use
Scrub the inside and outside thoroughly. It is recommended to use a sponge, but do not use any chemical agents. Simply put, just wash it with water and you can use it normally.
2. How to soak
Keep it clean and dry during and after use, otherwise tea stains may form. Place in ventilated place after use. If you want to store it in a box for a long time, you need to dry it naturally for 1-2 months to allow the moisture in the pores to evaporate fully, otherwise it will easily become moldy.
3. How to clean tea stains or mold?
Use enzyme soaking.
4. Warm the kettle correctly
When the weather is cold, or if the pot has not been used for a long time, please use 40 degrees Celsius warm water to pour inside and outside the pot, then fill the pot up to allow the purple clay pores to fully absorb the water.
5. How to care for engraved works
There are carvings on the body of the pot, so it is recommended to use a brush to clean it.

The safety of transportation is fully borne by Yanhuang Dadi Art. If there is any damage, please contact customer service immediately.
