Production Process
A spiral shape that draws out the luminous beauty of the silk thread—this ring is a quiet celebration of texture and light. Because silk is made from the same protein as human skin, it feels incredibly smooth and gentle against the skin.
Since silk is sensitive to water, we recommend removing the accessory when washing your hands to preserve its quality. If the threads become discolored over time, we can be repaired.
Sustainability
All pieces are crafted from high-quality Japanese silk threads that are unexpectedly left over during the production of woven fabrics, such as those used for kimonos. We've learned that surplus silk thread is often discarded, so we sought a way to avoid wasting this precious material, spun from silkworm cocoons, down to the shortest lengths.
Our pieces are designed for longevity, as the thread can be rewound and the base can be repaired as needed.
