【About the Video Work】
Peggy KUO is a multidisciplinary artist who blends design, music, and art.
Beginning in 2012, she developed the "Sound Portrait" series,
Where musical notes are used to create visual patterns,
Presented through video installations, these resemble discordant sheet music.
When the timeline in the video intersects with parts of the figures in the artwork,
It generates noisy and unpleasant sounds due to dense clusters of notes,
Creating illogical noise within the rules of musical notation,
Much like political figures on the surface,
Operating within seemingly ordered systems yet embodying an unreasonable political ecology.
Peggy KUO also brings her graphic scores to concert hall performances,
Her designed merchandise integrates elements of music, art, and new media,
Bringing art into everyday life, these are wonderful items to share with friends anytime.
