Thank you for your understanding. Crassula falcata, commonly known as the "Shen Dao" or "Sickle-blade" succulent, belongs to the Crassulaceae family, genus Crassula. It's a perennial succulent herb native to southeastern South Africa, where it grows into a sub-shrub form. The "Shen Dao" boasts thick, succulent leaves shaped like a sickle, with edges as thin as a blade. It typically appears in shades of green. Native to southeastern South Africa, the "Shen Dao" thrives in warm, dry, and semi-shaded conditions. It is not frost-tolerant but exhibits strong shade tolerance. It is drought-resistant, dislikes waterlogged soil, and should be protected from harsh direct sunlight. This succulent prefers fertile, loose, well-draining sandy loam. During summer, the "Shen Dao" is primarily kept in shade with reduced watering. Spring and autumn mark its growing seasons, during which it can receive full sun. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry during growth periods; if unsure, it's better to err on the side of dryness as "Shen Dao" is quite drought-tolerant. After a dry summer, it might look like a mummy, but with a slight drop in temperature, it can remarkably bloom again. It dislikes moisture but tolerates dryness, making it quite easy to care for once you understand its needs. While not always the most striking in appearance day-to-day, its blooms are stunning, with a long flowering period mainly in summer and autumn. The flowers are a beautiful orange-red or deep red. 【TEMPERATURE】 The ideal growing temperature for the "Shen Dao" succulent is between 15-25°C. In winter, the ambient temperature should not drop below 5°C to ensure safe overwintering, and the soil should be kept dry. 【SUNLIGHT】 The "Shen Dao" prefers ample sunlight. If temperatures exceed 25°C in summer, it requires shading and good ventilation. During the colder winter months, maintain sufficient light exposure. Spring and autumn are its growing seasons, allowing for full sun exposure and thorough watering when the soil is dry. 【WATERING】 During the spring and autumn growing seasons, ensure the "Shen Dao" receives adequate water, keeping the soil consistently moist. Avoid letting the soil remain dry for extended periods during summer and winter; replenish water promptly. The root system of "Shen Dao" is very fine and struggles to recover its absorption function if severely dehydrated. If allowed to dry out completely, the leaves will lose moisture, become soft, and in severe cases, the plant may die. Key Care Tips: Prefers warm, dry, and semi-shaded environments.
