There was a time when creation brought me great pain. I rediscovered joy when I started to draw more freely, and it felt wonderful! I create using the small trackpad of my old laptop, my fingers and phone, or if I use a pen, I intentionally hold it with my non-dominant hand or in an unusual way (if I get frustrated, I'll just hold it normally, haha).
