"I love me" is a bilingual (English - Japanese) picture book about the little miracles of life discovered by Shinobu Sakata who survived cancer for 10 years. She lived through chemotherapy twice and three courses of radiation therapy.
Whilst she was on various kinds of treatment, Shinobu wished to help heal people, as well as improve her own immunity, so she began studying colour and aromatherapy, becoming a certified professional therapist. Although she was diagnosed with cancer numerous times, Shinobu always lived her life with great positivity.
Shinobu's wish is to encourage all readers who may come across this book to love and cherish themselves a little bit more. She also wished to donate part of the proceeds of this book to Kumamoto earthquake relief and cancer treatment research.
Rinna Clanuwat is an artist, illustrator, designer, children's book writer, and Shinobu's best friend.
