After being shaped into a rounded, wide-brimmed bowl, the entire piece is coated in a lustrous white glaze, then adorned with various autumnal colors. All stages of production, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. The base of the bowl has been sanded smooth to minimize any potential scratching on your table surfaces. I continuously explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating ceramics in various colors and forms. To address this, all our pottery undergoes a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial soaking (mejime). This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you prefer not to have this treatment applied, please inform us at the time of purchase. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - Product images are edited and shot to be as true to the actual item as possible. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
