This summer I saw this landscape in a new way. The painting is done in an impressionistic manner with impasto strokes using a palette knife with oil paints. I painted here a transparent summer sky, filled with sunlight, and a thicket of purple hostas blooming under the pine trees. This corner of the forest rises above a sunlit stone wall. Here, wild nature and artificial landscape seem to blend together. I take a photo in natural light for a real display of the color scheme of the pictures.
