A delicate bracelet strung with Shan vintage carnelian, ancient agate, old Chin silver & Orissa brass antique light indigo mix seed beads. The beads, with their captivating stripe patterns, are carnelian used by the Shan people (Myanmar). While the exact age is unknown, they are vintage pieces over 50 years old. These are small carnelian beads with beautifully intricate stripes. (Vintage carnelian size: 1cm length, 0.6cm diameter) A single small piece of ancient agate has been added. This was excavated from the Indus River basin, including Pakistan and India, and dates back approximately 2000 years. Though small, it is a lustrous agate with a rich character. The light indigo mix beads are old seed beads from India. Their worn texture tells a story of having been cherished and worn for many years (circa 19th-20th century). Each bead has a unique shape, giving the strand a wonderfully expressive quality. (Bead size: 2-2.5mm) A single antique amber-colored White Heart bead is placed near the clasp. The barrel-shaped components sandwiching the carnelian and ancient agate are made of old Chin silver. These are heirloom pieces from the 18th-19th century, originating from Burma. They were used by Chin women in necklaces and other adornments, showing unique signs of wear and endearing marks. Their substantial feel and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though modern pieces can be stylish...). These beads are truly rare and quite precious! The golden beads and the anchor-like charm next to the ancient agate are old Orissa brass. These are old and rare beads from the Orissa region of India. The charm on the clasp is also an old brass component from India. The slightly bent clasp and the beads on the loop are Karen silver. Each small Karen silver bead on the clasp is individually stamped!
