Handwoven Linen Stole [Harukaze*03] Materials: 95% Linen, 5% Silk Size: Approx. 40cm x 170cm (excluding 5cm fringe) This medium-sized stole is meticulously handwoven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, sourced from a Kyoto-based yarn wholesaler. The yarn, initially undyed, is then dyed into various colors before being woven. Its sheer, lightweight quality drapes beautifully, free from stiffness or bulk, conforming gently and softly to the body. The design features a random interplay of stripes and checks, woven with four different linen threads, accented with a silk-like border. The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in handweaving, is characterized by its minimal fuzz and subtle sheen. With a fine warp density of 580 threads, it achieves a remarkably supple texture. Linen stoles excel in absorbency, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry and refreshing feel against the skin.
