【 Features 】
This deep bowl is finished with a traditional Bengara (iron oxide red) lacquer.
With continued use, its surface gradually evolves over time, allowing you to appreciate the subtle changes in its expression.
The entire piece is reinforced with a cloth-layering technique known as nuno-kise, where a loosely woven cotton fabric is applied with urushi lacquer to enhance strength.
For the base, a traditional method called makiji is used, creating a stable and highly durable foundation.
The final surface is finished with hakeme-nuri (brush-textured lacquer), giving the bowl a rich expression while helping to make everyday marks and scratches less noticeable.
Its gentle depth allows for versatile presentation, naturally fitting into daily use.
A piece that grows more beautiful with time.
