The entire piece is reinforced with a cloth-layering technique known as nuno-kise, where a loosely woven cotton fabric is applied with urushi lacquer to enhance strength. For the base, a traditional method called makiji is used, creating a stable and highly durable foundation. The final surface is finished with hakeme-nuri (brush-textured lacquer), giving the bowl a rich expression while helping to make everyday marks and scratches less noticeable. Its gentle depth allows for versatile presentation, naturally fitting into daily use.
