JUPITER plant VERSION, 1981 STANDARD FOCUS HELIOS-44-2 LENS FOR M42 ZENIT PENTAX PRAKTICA CAMERAS ... or for a lot of other SLR with 42mm lens mount... ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) HELIOS-44-2 is a standard coated lens for Soviet SLR 35 mm Zenit cameras. The lens can be fitted on the M42 Pentax cameras. First HELIOS-44 lenses were borrowed from Carl Zeiss BIOTAR lenses and issued since end of 1950th years in M39, then in M42 screw mount, and had not very good glory because were with low contrast in common... But latest versions of HELIOS-44 lens became very sharp. This famous lens was manufactured in the USSR, and features outstanding sharpness, contrast and color rendition. I saw photos taken with similar lenses several times before and I appreciated excellent pictures quality. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT The glass is very clean and should bring nice images, with no any scratches, separations or fungus, but very minor cleaning marks or pieces of dust inside sometimes can be found. Focusing and aperture are smooth. Cosmetically the lens looks in fine condition, just examine item's photo please. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Focus 58 mm. * Angle of view about 42 degrees. * Relative aperture 1:2.0 (up to 1:16 with clicks). * Additional ring for fast closing aperture from full opened to preinstalled meaning. * Lens mount M42 (known also as Pentax Screw Mount), same with huge quantity of lenses for old Praktica, Pentax, Yashica, Cosina and other cameras with optical registration 45.5mm. * Mounting for modern MFT, SLR & dSLR cameras will not bring any trouble with well-spread M42 adapters. Nikon F mount users will not have infinity focus with simple adapters and M42 optics, close-up shots only will available. * Focusing from 0.5m. * Scale of distances in meters. * Filter mount M 49x0.75mm. * The lens was made in USSR at Jupiter plant (the town of Valday) in 1980.
