Established in 2014, our design studio began from a personal passion for accessories and a deep dive into the world of natural, vibrant semi-precious stones. Material Explanations: The 14K gold-filled material, extensively used in the mixandfun studio, features a layer of 1/20 14K gold electroplated onto a brass base. This has become a popular choice in recent years for its ease of care, durability, and long-lasting color, all at a more accessible price point compared to solid 14K gold. Solid 14K gold, on the other hand, is entirely crafted from 14K gold, containing approximately 58.5% pure gold with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, this material offers even easier maintenance and a more refined color. It's also a considerate option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material we frequently utilize. mixandfun carefully selects unplated chains that we personally favor and then applies a special electroplating process. This ensures the color remains vibrant under normal wear conditions. Wearing Precautions: 1. It is recommended to put on all jewelry after dressing and remove it before changing into loungewear at home. Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, in hot springs, or swimming. 2. For earrings, we suggest using the provided silicone stoppers to minimize the risk of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if jewelry will not be worn for an extended period, gently wipe it with a soft cloth before storing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing them to reduce tangling. 5. Please understand that 14K gold-filled, solid 14K gold, or custom alloy pieces will naturally show signs of wear over time. 6. A Little Care Tip: If you notice any oxidation, don't worry. Prepare a bowl of water with a pinch of salt and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish. It should regain its shine. (Material compositions may vary slightly between brands.) It's advisable to start with less expensive silver pieces for this method. 7. You can place solid gold or general alloy jewelry in your palm, dip an old toothbrush in a small amount of toothpaste, and gently brush for about half a minute.
