Villeroy & Boch ceramic coffee pot with wooden lid.
The design is Camellia sinensis (tea plant). The founding of this company dates back to 1748 when Francois Boch, together with his three sons, began manufacturing ceramic crockery. In 1766, he received permission from Empress Maria Theresia to open a factory at Septfontaines in Luxembourg, and, as a sign of recognition, his Faiencerie is permitted to call itself Manufacture Impériale et Royale.
