Handwoven Silk Stole [Tsukikumo*01]
Materials: 60% Silk, 40% Acrylic
Size: Approx. 57cm x 200cm (excluding 8cm fringe)
This large stole is handwoven using high-quality raw silk sourced from a silk yarn wholesaler in Nishijin, Kyoto. The silk is semi-degummed to achieve a soft texture and lustrous sheen, then dyed in various colors before being woven.
Paired with acrylic yarn that boasts a glossy sheen similar to silk, the stole is woven using the traditional Nordic technique of Monk's Belt. The combination of colors and woven pattern creates a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
With a fine density of 840 warp threads, and using single-twisted silk yarn, the smoothness and luster are exceptional. Silk stoles are known for their excellent moisture-wicking, breathability, and heat retention properties, offering a supple feel suitable for all seasons.
*As synthetic yarn is used, please iron with the iron slightly lifted and using steam only.
*If you would like gift wrapping, please let us know, and we will provide it free of charge.
