What is the wood firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are kneaded in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not a pottery wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the lines of the body are refined, then polished to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, it undergoes a continuous five-day, four-night wood firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the work, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the fire marks within the kiln flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire patterns. After five days and four nights of ash and fire marks intertwining, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. The works are purely handmade, and will inevitably bear traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight imperfections in the rim or minor production scratches are normal and do not affect normal use.
