English Botany Centennial Plant Prints (Reframed)
English Botany is the major reference work on British botany, consisting of 36 volumes containing approximately 2,000 botanical prints. The book was conceived, illustrated, edited and published by the botanical illustrator and natural historian James Sowerby.
There are numbers and plant names on the pictures. Because they are printed on copper plates, there are obvious extrusion marks on the sides. This is also a feature of copperplate engravings. Each picture is custom-made by a framing master. It is very exquisite and classical, and is also very suitable as a gift. Antique prints that are 1 to 200 years old are given new life.
Size: 29.5x20.8cm
Year: circa 1840
The frame is brand new, but the print is 100 to 200 years old, so it is inevitable that it has historical traces. Only those who can accept it can buy it.
