Yanagi believed that hands could better convey the warmth and ideas of a product; by feeling with one's hands, the answer would emerge. Each vessel is meticulously calculated and adjusted by hand, with form following function and necessity always considered before design. If one were to speak of the most revered and representative design masters of contemporary Japan, Sori Yanagi would undoubtedly be named.
