This is a Napoleon III antique balance scale from 19th century France (circa 1840). The scale body is made of mahogany, complemented by metal and brass weighing pans. It's ideal for display on restaurant counters or in general shops. Manufactured by Mulatiere, Lyon, Maison Beranger, located in Lyon, France. It can weigh up to 5kg. Weight is determined by the level of the two central metal pointers. The overall condition is well-preserved; it is approximately 180 years old. The brass pans are original, have not been replaced, and bear an imprint.
