Gukeng Township is the birthplace of Taiwanese coffee. From the Japanese occupation period to the early days of the Liberation, there were large-scale coffee plantations and production, and a large amount of coffee was exported to generate foreign exchange. It is the center of Taiwanese coffee. According to the "Yunlin County Annals" records, among the various production areas tested during the Japanese occupation period, the quality of Yunlin Gukeng was the best, and it became a tribute to the Japanese emperor, so it was nicknamed "Imperial Coffee". Hebao Mountain in Gukeng Township is about 400 meters above sea level, and its latitude is about the same as that of Jamaica. The special geographical location and soil conditions have created the unique flavor of Gukeng coffee.
Gukeng coffee is famous, and counterfeiters are often seen in the market. Therefore, Mori Takasago Coffee has specially cooperated with Liu Yiteng, the leader of the coffee production team in Gukeng Township, to obtain Gukeng coffee with "pure blood", and provide it to friends who love Taiwanese coffee, a truly reliable Gukeng Township specialty coffee.
The sour taste of Gukeng coffee is less obvious, the taste is smooth and sweet, and the aroma of nuts is pervasive. This batch is processed by water washing method, and the taste spectrum includes peanut, nutty aroma, caramel, chocolate bitterness and so on.
