INDUSTAR lenses also were popular as enlarger lens, for medium format was available mostly INDUSTAR-23U lens for 6x9 cm frame size. The lens has good construction and optical coating and used at famous MOSKVA-2 & MOSKVA-4 cameras too, but the shutter was integrated between optical elemnts. It was very smart idea to use same optics for taking photos and for printing photos. The 4 element design guarantees the resolution of the finest details while maintaining a uniformly high contrast from the picture centre to the edges. The INDUSTAR-23U already meets the high demands of processing photography. A number of photographers use the models with shorter focal lengths in conjunction with suitable adaptors together with SLR & MFT cameras for high quality photos in extreme close-up's. ITEM'S CONDITION: WELL-USABLE, TESTED The lens is enough clean to bring nice images, without deep scratches, air bulbs, separations and fungus, but some cleaning marks and pieces of dust can be found (examine item's photos, please). Aperture rotates smoothly. The case is in nice condition cosmetically, just examine item's photos please. I mounted the lens to my Olympus OM-D and took some photos from my window with focusing distance around 3 m, you can see examples at F3.5 & F11. Results looks nice for Me. To take photos I had to combine M42 adapter for camera, some M42 macro tubes and M39/M42 adapter for lens. All functions are available.
