|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"A person nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and mild in nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial effects and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with presence also in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions throughout life, from youth to adulthood and old age, fulfilling crucial physiological roles. It is an indispensable macronutrient for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is essential for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The body cannot synthesize it independently and must absorb it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with Type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. It benefits overweight individuals by helping control cholesterol and blood sugar. Those under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly important for these three groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. Adults typically contain 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly concentrated in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed nickel mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macronutrient essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is associated with the onset of many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have lower mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements." Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research reveals the potent therapeutic capabilities of jadeite. Long-term wear not only prevents diseases but can also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Continuous massage can achieve a lasting effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the efficacy of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five organs, calming the spirit, clearing blood vessels, and sharpening the senses."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordinated balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, comes into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The cool, soothing nature of jadeite provides therapeutic relief from heat. In the Tang Dynasty, Consort Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to relieve summer heat, ushering in cooler summers. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants were used to combat the heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for appreciating jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is that when feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite offers an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if finding solace.
